Cabrini High School proudly came together as one community for our Fall Athletic Awards Ceremony, a joyful celebration of the dedication, growth, and achievements of our student-athletes in Cross Country, Volleyball, and Swimming. The evening reflected what it truly means to be Cabrinian, honoring not only athletic excellence, but also the faith, resilience, leadership, and character our athletes bring to every season.
Athletic Director Sarah Bruzeau welcomed families, coaches, and students, reminding all in attendance that while wins and awards matter, what matters most is how our student-athletes represent Cabrini High School, their teams, and themselves. Prayer remained central throughout the ceremony, reinforcing Cabrini’s mission to Live Strong in our Faith and Compete with Character.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Deborah Alvarenga ’16, the Cross Country team was recognized for its commitment, perseverance, and growth throughout the season. This year’s award recipients included:

Reagan Roberson, Most Improved
Renee’ Killian, Most Improved
Lorena Gonsoulin, Most Valuable Runner
Cabrini also proudly celebrated two seniors named to the LHSAA All-Academic Team (Division II) for Cross Country:

The Volleyball season highlighted the team’s perseverance and unity. Faced with unexpected challenges, including the loss of use of the school gym, the team adapted with true Cabrinian grit, practicing off campus, competing primarily on the road, and hosting home matches at neutral sites. Through it all, the team remained focused, resilient, and united. Thirteen seniors were recognized for their lasting impact and dedication to the program.

Cabrini also proudly recognized Dylan Moisant as the LHSAA All-Academic Team recipient (Division III) for Swimming.
The evening concluded with heartfelt prayers and acknowledgements, thanking Cabrini’s administration, faculty, staff, coaches, and families for their unwavering support. Congratulations to all of our student-athletes on a successful fall season. Thank you for continuing to represent Cabrini High School with pride, faith, and character, both on and off the field.
